Patent Attorney

Responsibilities

  • Specialize in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of patent applications in the field of chemical applications.

  • Determine potential of granting patents and monitor possibility of infringement. Responsible for preparing and filing patent applications.

  • Educate and counsel clients on relevant legal issues accordingly.

  • Develop and manage client relationships.

  • Provide litigation support on pending applications, as necessary.

  • Perform other related duties as required. JD or LLM, or foreign equivalent, in Law required.

Skills/Qualifications

  • One year of experience or one year of patent application related experience is required.

  • Must be a member of state bar.

  • Must have successfully passed US patent bar exam.

  • Must have experience preparing patents for chemical applications.

  • Writing sample required.

  • Any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable.
